EastEnders Pointless Celebrities, 8th June

There's a repeated Eastenders edition of Pointless Celebrities on Saturday 8th June at 6.50pm.

The teams are Natalie Cassidy and Dean Gaffney, Perry Fenwick and Emma Barton, Lisa Hammond and Luisa Bradshaw-White, and Jamie Borthwick and Madhav Sharma.

World premiere and general release dates announced for Horrible Histories movie

Horrible Histories: The Movie - Rotten Romans will have its world premiere at the Leicester Square Odeon in July. Set in ancient Roman times, the film will open on July 7th.

It stars Sebastian Croft as a Roman teenager forced to join the army then sent to  Britannia to quell the uprising lead by Boudicca (Kate Nash).

Alexander Armstrong, Nick Frost, Kim Cattrall and Rupert Graves are also in the cast along with The Thick Of It’s Alex Macqueen, comedians Lee Mack,  Chris Addison, Kevin Bishop, Warwick Davis, Lucy Montgomery, Dustin Demri-Burn, Dan Renton Skinner, Katy Wix and even Sir Derek Jacobi reprising his title role from I, Claudius. Also appearing are Sanjeev Bhaskar, Dave Lamb, Sarah Hadland, Jessica Ransom, Katherine Jakeways, Samantha Spiro, and Tim Downie.

Horrible Histories: The Movie - Rotten Romans will hit cinemas nationwide on July 26.

Saturday 1st June at 8.15pm sees a 1990s special of Pointless Celebrities.

The teams are Jayne Middlemiss and Diane-Louise Jordan, Sarah Cawood and Jeremy Spake, Angus Loughran and Kriss Akabusi, and Philip Franks and Sue Jenkins.

Doctors Pointless Celebrities, 25th May

There's a Doctors Pointless Celebrities on Saturday 25th May at 8.15pm, including both real medics and actors who play them.

The participants are Simon Shepherd and Chris Steele, Amy Robbins and Robert Daws, William Beck and Sunetra Sarker, and Sara Kayat and Ranj Singh.

Pointless bags a TV Choice Award nomination

Pointless has been longlisted in the Best Daytime Programme category of the TV Choice Awards.

Additionally, Richard Osman's House of Games is longlisted for Best Entertainment Show. Please give them both your support.

Voting on the longlist takes place till midnight on Friday 31st May. The shortlist opens on 25th June, and I'll post again then if either or both shows have made the shortlist!
