a-WOOF, new Hey Duggee shows are back!

New episodes of award-winning pre-school animation Hey Duggee, narrated by Alexander Armstrong, will be broadcast from Monday 15th June.

On Monday's show, at 7.15am on CBeebies, the Squirels make a mixtape for Duggee to remind him of their happy memories together. On Tuesday Duggee makes a smoothie, but the Squirrels can't agree whether it's yummy or not. And on Wednesday, Duggee and the Squirrels go on a voyage of discovery in the Biology Bus.

TV Doctors Pointless Celebrities, 13th June

All the contestants on Pointless Celebrities on 13th June, at 7.25pm, are either real or fictional TV doctors.

They are Simon Shepherd and Chris Steele, Amy Robbins and Robert Daws, William Beck and Sunetra Sarker, and Sara Kayat and Ranj Singh.

Writers Pointless Celebrities, 6th June

Pointless Celebrities on Saturday 6th June, at 7.30pm, is a Writers special.

Pointless nominated in the TV Choice Awards

Pointless has been longlisted in the Daytime category of the TV Choice Awards, and Richard Osman's House of Games is longlisted in Entertainment.

Alexander Armstrong will take over as host of Classic FM's flagship daytime show, from 9am to noon on weekdays.

Xander has had regular weekend shows for several years now, adding one hundred thousand to his listener numbers in the last year alone. Tune in to hear him on digital, online, or on a smart speaker, from 9am on Monday 1st June.

Sitcoms Pointless Celebrities, 30th May

Pointless Celebrities on 30th May, at 7.55pm, is a Sitcoms special.

Taking part are 'Allo 'Allo's Richard Gibson and Kim Hartman, Ewen Macintosh and Patrick Baladi from The Office, Nina Wadia from Still Open All Hours and Abdullah Afzal of Citizen Khan, and Perry Benson, who was in Oh, Doctor Beeching and You Rang, M'Lud with Hi-de-Hi's Jeffrey Holland.

Armstrong and Miller bring back Timeghost

Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller are reviving their podcast, Timeghost.The first three episodes are available from Wednesday 20th May.

The original podcast ran for 26 episodes in 2009, Xander and Ben play Martin Baine-Jones and Craig Children, two cultural commentators pronouncing on what's in the zeitgeist, often without having seen the work in question.

Timeghost is available through the Acast network, or on all major podcast platforms.

The excellent compilation show, Pointless: The Good, The Bad And The Bloopers, is being repeated on Saturday 18th April at 5.40pm, on BBC1.

It's a collection of bloopers, out-takes, funny answers, celebrity contestants and unforgettable moments from the first ten years of the show.

Heavenly Gardens

As part of the BBC's Easter programming, Alexander Armstrong and garden designer Arit Anderson will visit six spectacular gardens steeped in faith and spirituality.

From The Bishop’s Palace in Somerset to Pluscarden Abbey in the Highlands of Scotland; from Cambridge University’s stunning Botanic Garden to Alnwick Castle’s newly transformed garden in Northumberland; from Scone Palace’s gardens of kings in Perthshire to Sudeley Castle’s sacred connections in the Cotswolds, Alexander and Arit celebrate the significance of gardens in the Easter story itself. They will get hands on in these sacred places, meeting the custodians of these glorious gardens to pick up gardening tips and discover the very special and surprising spiritual significance of each place.

I’ve always loved gardens. They’re beautiful places to enjoy plants, flowers, fruits and nature’s changing seasons. Most of all though, for me, they’re spiritual retreats from the modern world. This is a dream programme for me, celebrating some of the UK’s most sacred gardens and meeting the amazing people whose physical and spiritual lives are intertwined in them.

The two episodes are at 1.40pm on Good Friday, 10th April and 1.50pm on Easter Sunday, 12th April, both on BBC1.
